Time to celebrate and have fun. What’s the occasion? Just being alive and being with you.

The painting below is a dream I had of somewhere. It is only real inside my head. Now it’s on canvas and it’s reality is touching anyone who will take some time to look into the water and enjoy the cool evening breeze coming from the distant shore.
I’ve been working on some fresh art, playing with the paint to make abstract pieces that I hope my followers will like. I should post more often so you can see the work in progress. But I’m new to blogging and it does take me a minute to remember that you are all out there. So we will start a new when the sun rises in the morning and a fresh breeze stirs my imagination to create beautiful things for you.
Sorry viewer’s, I have not been up and running as I should be, but even artist get stuff thrown at them. I hit the ” Creative Wall” and had to re-think, and re-imagine what is it I am trying to accomplish with my art. At first I thought it was money $$$ but it does not satisfy, then I felt just getting recognition would be the source of happiness. Alas it’s none of that. It’s making imagines that tell a short story about life and ascending to a higher level of understanding. As artist we all want to capture a moment of sunlight, moon light, laughter, pain, satisfaction, awe or reverence, and when we capture it in our art we want the audience or the viewer to feel that same sense as the art depicts. I am just a humble servant, wanting to bring joy to the master I serve through my craft.

I’ve been having these mental pictures of my next round of paintings. I want to do something that is fluid, solid, open and fresh. What does that look like? I’m sure a lot of you are having vision of what that might be, lets hope I meet your expectations. I am still working on the concept so it will be a week or so before I can reveal at least one piece to you. Just want you to know my summer art is still up at Patch Coffee House off of Portola and El Toro Road in Lake Forest, CA Please stop in and take a look the atmosphere is pleasant and coffee is good too. I have a textured painting in the men’s bathroom which has gotten many comments from the staff and the male patrons that go to the coffee house. You might want to take a sneak peak at it, if you dare. Still playing with the pastels nothing exciting to show on my blog yet but I will be posting one pastel within the next few days. Have a great tomorrow.

It’s good to celebrate our Freedom as American’s. I love our country. May God continue to bless her.
I have been playing around with pastels. There is a lot of beautiful colors you can accomplish using pastels. I am learning how to manipulate them to create a deep, rich look. I using an unusual paper which is a little difficult to find, but it really changes the look of the pastel. When I complete the art piece, I will post it for your viewing pleasure. Have to go to Patch Coffee to see how people are responding to the newest art pieces I have hanging there. Have a great weekend.
It’s a great day to paint. Sometimes you wake up and everything is just right for painting. You feel good about yourself, feel great about the morning sun shining, you become inspired by a butterfly, a bird singing, a lizard running across the patio, and all you want to do is make a canvas alive with color, with inspiration, with thought. To all my artist friends out there have a wonderful day.
In the painting I titled Consider; I wanted to make the watercolor, gentle and soft . As you notice the river flow is quite and relaxed. The mountains are extremely large and seem somewhat overwhelming, just like our lives and some of our problems. I depict the trees as ourselves, if we stand still, in quite place and drink deeply from the living river we will have peace and find answer to overwhelming events, issue or situations. Consider……
